About the event

During the month of November, the Susitna River Coalition is asking:

How does our watershed inspire you?

So, let's get that creativity flowing at the same CFS (cubic feet per second) as the mighty Susitna! Log in with your friends for a Wednesday night art party complete with river-themed music and some Susitna River trivia.

For this virtual event, grab your brushes and a hot cup of tea--or wine-- and join us to paint a watercolor of two iconic Alaskan critters: the Salmon and the Bear. Both animals reliant on the free-flowing Susitna river and it's intact ecosystem.

Kerri Lathrop, science teacher and artist, will be providing instruction as you create your Susitna masterpiece.

We look forward to seeing you at this collaborative online event, and witnessing the creation of sure to be masterpieces.

Registrants will be sent a Zoom link.

Paint "kits" will be picked up in Talkeetna & Anchorage, location TBD.

Kits (Paint included) Include: 11x14" mat board template, watercolor paper, 3 different watercolors and brush.

Kit (Paint not included) Includes: 11x14"mat board template and watercolor paper. "Sipper" provides their own brushes and paint.

Any "Sips" must be provided by participants.

Ticket sales will be split between the Instructor, Kerri, and the SRC as we continue our efforts to protect the Susitna River Watershed.

Look foward to "seeing" you there.
